I'm preparing to repair the bad metal sections of the perimeter frame on my '52 Hornet. What gauge steel was originally used on the frame rails?

As I recall, it's 19ga. (.0419), which is no longer available. But, when shopping, you can find small 18 ga. (.0478) or thick 20 ga. (.0359) metal if you take your calipers when going through a stack.

Senior moment. This might be the body panel thickness. I will double check my frame in the next couple of days.
