FS Overdrive Solenoid 6V
When I swapped my Hornet from automatic to manual/OD transmission, the donor mechanicals were from an original-style 6 volt car. My car's already been switched to 12V to accommodate A/C and other stuff, so I had to source a 12V overdrive solenoid (from a mid-50's Studebaker). Most all these Bor-Warner overdrives use the exact same components.
I had to pay $150 for the 12V solenoid and was glad to get it, as it seems these critters, 6V OR 12V are pretty hard to come by.
I'd just like to recoup my expense and pass along the 6V unit to someone with a 6V system. Even if yours is working, this would be a great spare to have.. if the solenoid goes out, you aren't going to have overdrive!
It's nicely cleaned up, painted, and ready to install. I've tested it and it works fine. $150 with free shipping (US). Money back if it doesn't work for you for any reason.
