Hi Trevor,
That's good because you need to be in either Australia or New Zealand to register before you can ask questions!
So a question : is the price for the 112 radio in US or NZ dollars and would you be happy to ship to the UK?
Paul0 -
Trevor if I would like to buy the fender skirts just let me know what I have to do thanks Tom.0
-
Well Paul I would like to say US Dollars but that would be dishonest. ITs in NZ Dollars and I can ship but it would be exspensive.
Rocket if you want the wheel covers make me an offer I cant refuse and I can withdraw them. Be advised there is some interest in them here but to date no bids. Once again it would be quite exspensive to ship and these covers do require work. I can take more pictures of these items if wanted I dont want anyone getting supprise..

Hi Trevor ,
Could you give me rough idea of weight so I can see what I can sort out and if it's not too horrendous then I'll make you an offer.
It could come via sea ; the extra few months wouldn't make much difference to me :-)0 -
Hi Paul I will weigh it and get some idea of cost to the UK for you.
Trevor0 -
Hi guys,
You would have to look into the shipping by sea, I tried to get a price for some parts from Australia to New Zealand and was told nothing goes by sea anymore, just air mail which is very expensive.
Les.P.0 -
Thanks Trevor.
Les , that does seem to be the general case however there are companies that will ship by sea but it seems that these expect a certain amount to be shipped.
Found these http://www.nzbaggagemovers.co.nz/Australia to NZ to ocean rates to depot for baggage shipping.html
Still seems expensive unless I can get enough to fill a few tea chests!0 -
Trevor how much is $200.00 NZ dollars in US money and how much would it be to air fraight to the US for the fender skirts I would like to get some kind of a total in US dollars to see if it is worth while thanks Tom.0
-
There are firms who will ship by sea, but you have to wait until they have enough to fill their container. Quite economical in comparison to air freight, you just have to wait a bit for the stuff to arrive. Trevor, contact me if want details,
Geoff0 -
Hi Geoff Thanks Will do.
The cost of freight is a little scarey. For the radio to the UK is approx $333.55. For the wheel covers to the States is approx $288.40 . The only saving grace is that the UK and US dollars are worth more than ours. For exact exchange rate go to currency converter. Please bear in mind that you will have to add about $15.00 for each item to take account for what the various cash handlers steal from you for the cost of shifting the money.

Trevor, (or I guess anyone who knows) 36 spats the same as those for a 35?
Likewise the running boards? How long are the ones you have?
I've sent a PM0 -
Hi there.
If they were the same as 35 they would not be going anywhere I own a 35 8 coupe.
They are different. They only fit 1936 Hudson or Terraplane.

Hi Trevor,
Ouch on that shipping price :-)
I have a couple of friends over in NZ so I'll ask them if they are coming back to the UK at all in the (near) future and would like some extra hand luggage failing that is there any chance "we" could look at Geoff's suggestion.
I'd quite like the radio but can't justify that shipping cost ; this may be another one that gets away.

yep the freight is a little frightening. I can check with Geoff no problem. Let me know what you want me to do.
Trevor NZ0 -
Hi Trevor,
If you could check when you have time that'd be good ; if that's not an option then it will have to another "one that got away"
Thanks for your help

Trevor, check with "The Moving Company". I don't know if they have a depot in Dunedin, but they recently shifted a lot of stuff from Christchurch to Sydney for my son who had to get all the gear out of his "Red-stickered" Lytellton house. They wait until they have a container load, so there is a time delay. I believe they move stuff to U.S.
