Old car ID
I hang out on an antique tractor board, and somebody posted this pic for ID. Several thought Hudson or Essex. One said the engine looked like a Willys-Knight sleeve valve. And some, of course, were completely clueless. I'm one of those, BTW. What say you?
And now, the next question (after viewing my post)- how to get the picture bigger? It was full sized, when I saved it from the tractor board.

The experts at this sort of thing all hang out at the Antique Automobile Club of America forums. Those gentlemen could tell you the year, make and model with only a glimpse at a rear fender and wheel. I'll give you a link. When you get to the home page, drop down about half way until you see a topic called "Photo and Video Forums". Under it are sub-forums -- click on the one says "What is it?". I actually check it frequently because it's so interesting to see what they can identify with only the most faded and worn of photos to go by. BTW, My guess is '27 or '28 Hudson, but I'm no expert. It looked like an overhead six cylinder to me, but it's no Buick. I'm guessing that from the left and at a distance a Hudson F-head would look pretty similar. I'll be curious to know what the folks who know what they're talking about think.

How do I start a NEW discussion? This question doesn't belong here but I don't know where it should be. Sorry. J Haugo0
